It is said that it takes 30 days to break or make a habit. Trying to eat breakfast everyday, I failed at that little task today. Once again I allowed my silly schedule to get in the way of eating. We have started moving, and with a fresh snow there were driveways to be shoveled and stuff to do.
I left the house with the intention of shoveling a little snow, eating then shoveling a little more snow. It did not work out that way. Lesson from today is – eat before I leave the house – even if it makes me change the rest of my schedule a little. I did get some great exercise today. With 2 driveways to shovel and things to pack I am feeling a few muscles I did not remember having. I forgot how much your heart rate can raise by pushing a snow shovel. Even the light and fluffy stuff we had today gave me a little work out.
Snow is in the forecast for the next several days, so I am sure I will be getting more exercise throughout the week. I know this week will be extremely difficult to keep a schedule, or stay focused on me, but I will do the best I can and keep taking baby steps.
